Firmu Action Concept založil v roce 1992 kaskadér Hermann Joha, který je nyní jejím řiditelem. Od roku 1992 se mnohé změnilo. Ze začátku sídlila firma v Düsseldorfu a podílela se na natáčení "Kaskadérského týmu" pro televizní stanici DSF. Jeho sledovanost předčila očekávání a Action Concept se dostává do podvědomí dalších televizních stanic a točí pro ně kaskadérské části seriálů. Zlom však přichází v roce 1995 kdy začíná produkce Cobry 11 pro RTL. Tým kolem Hermanna Johy se začal rozrůstat a přišly první úspěchy. V roce 1996 startuje natáčení seriálu "Clown", také pro RTL. Klauna však již produkuje pouze Action Concept. Pilotní film "Der Clown", který režíroval sám Joha přilákal k obrazovkám miliony diváků. Action Concept pakpřebírá i produkci celého projektu Cobra 11 a stěhuje celé jeho natáčení na dálnice v okolíKolína a Düsseldorfu. Do Kolína se stěhuje i sídlo Action Conceptu, do průmyslové zóny městaHürth. Tam vyrostl komplex nevýdaných rozměrů, který nemá v Evropě konkurence. V areálu se dnes produkuje většina akčních scén pro všechny seriály. Technika totiž nyní umožňuje, aby se mnohé scény mohli dotvářet na počítači ve speciálních programech. Na to vše je Action Conceptprvotřídně vybaven. Hermann Joha má pod svým vedením profesionální tým kaskadérů, kameramanů, režisérů .... . V Action Conceptu pracuje na stálo 150 lidí a dalších 250 poskytuje své služby externě. Areál Action Conceptu má rozlohu 25 000 m2a jeho součástí jsou zvuková studia, kamerová odd., technické dílny a další oddělení potřebných pro profesionální zvládnutí jakéhokoliv projektu. Pro natáčení Cobry 11 je v areálu i 200m dlouhý kousek dálnice. Na něm se točí menší scény, které nevyžadují skutečnou dálnici. Action Concept dnes produkuje řadu seriálů, převážně pro RTL, např.: Cobra 11, Clown, Wilde Engel, Na plný plyn a natáčí takécelovečerní filmy a v koprodukci natáčí i zahraniční akční filmy. V roce 2005 Action Concept dokončil a v též roce uvedl do kin celovečerní film "Der Clown - PAYDAY", na kterém pracoval téměř dva roky. Jeho uvedení do kin bylo dokonce i ohroženo, kvůli požáru, který vznikl ve studiích jedné z produkčních společností. Naštěstí však snímek Action Conceptu nebyl poškozen. Ročně Action Concept vyprodukuje 1.620 minut filmového materiálu, převážně pak akčních seriálů! V roce 2004 dosáhla firma obratu 40 mil. €
Hermann Joha vede také svou vlastní kaskadérskou školu, ve které si školí profesionály, kteří se za osm semestrů musí naučit všechny detaily. Od dramaturgické práce na seriálu až po dokonalé zvládnutí kaskadérské časti. Produkce Action Conceptu se nyní promítá ve 30 zemích po celém světě. Největší obliby se těší Cobra 11, která za 10 let svého natáčení zaznamenala obrovský pokrok a v mnohém určuje měřítka pro konkurenční seriály.
